hand-colored etching by artist Robert Kasimir depicting the Plague Column on the Graben street in Vienna, Austria. The monument, also known as the Holy Trinity Column, is a Baroque memorial erected by Emperor Leopold I to commemorate the end of the Great Plague epidemic of 1679. Robert Kasimir (1914-2002) was an Austrian artist known for his detailed etchings of Viennese architecture and cityscapes. The work is an example of a hand-colored etching, a technique where black and white prints are manually colored, often with watercolor or pastel, to add vibrancy and detail. The glass front itself needs a little clean as well as the frame but otherwise the art itself has been preserved well Approx 33x30cm
