Vintage Antique Columbia Family Scale Green 24lbs & 16Oz Landers Frary & Clark. LF&C was a very interesting company that is some brands still lives on even today. They even made Trench knives for the US Government during WWI. I think the scales works, but I think it could use a drop of oil or 2 on the pivot, which is accessible from a hole on the bottom. Would look great as a decorative piece in a French county kitchen or a coffee shop business. Most of these have been discarded, so very hard to find. I bought this about 8 years ago, I haven’t seen one since. I actually use one to weigh my Mercari packages that was my grandmother’s. This one has an ornate curvy base, very pretty. Probably from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. Does have some surface rust that will blacken if hit with a bronze brush, but I will let that decision be made by the next owner.
