Banker’s Lamps are iconic as set props in the movie industry. Scenes at banks, businesses, and upscale homes often feature bankers lamps as props because they are simple and elegant. Because this 100-year-old Antique Banker’s Lamp is a 1920’s model, it is more beautiful in design and has an unusual teal colored shade. The base is made of heavy brass, is more ornately designed, and has a wonderful highly-desired aged brass patina. It’s stem is not shiny hollow brass like today’s newer models. This lamp’s shade, unlike the hunter green models of today, is a lovely teal color. The last photo is a typical new bankers lamp, for comparison. See the difference?
