Original 1950s Chesterfield Cigarettes advertising sign featuring the classic “Every Time It’s Chesterfield” basketball girl artwork.
This large store display was produced by Liggett & Myers to promote Chesterfield’s sponsorship of the Golden Jubilee of Basketball. Bright colors and great mid-century graphics – perfect for a tobacciana, sports or advertising collection.
Details:
• Original 1950s paper litho sign (not a modern reproduction)
• Chesterfield salutes “The Golden Jubilee of Basketball”
• Approx. 22” x 21”
• Printed “LIGGETT & MYERS TOBACCO CO.” and “LITHO IN U.S.A.” along the bottom (on front)
Condition:
• Colors on the front are bright and glossy with great eye appeal
• Light edge/corner wear and a small crease/scratch near the lower front (see photos)
• Back has age toning and surface marks
• Old tape strips on the back reinforcing a small lower edge tear and the upper left corner crease – repairs do not show on the display side
