When the mic clip is not spread open the diameter is 44.4mm / 1.75 in. I have used it with an Oktava MK-319 condenser microphone (49.1mm / 1.9 in. diameter) and an Audio Technica P48 (about 51.3mm / 2 in. diameter) condenser microphone, as shown in one of the photos and it works well. We were also able to fit a Samson C01 microphone with a 54mm diameter in. It was tight on the Samson C01 but will fit. The threading fits a standard 5/8" mic stand. It also includes a small adapter which may need to be removed before using it with a 5/8" inch mic stand. The adapter allows it to fit smaller diameter microphone stands.
