The coach’s jacket has historically been associated with American football and was popularized during the 1990’s when streetwear influenced fashion and culture heavily. Sloan and Bennett is excited to spin the coach’s jacket into the player’s coat. Merging the letterman style jacket with the classic sartorial aesthetic and dimension of a trench coat, we designed the SLBV Silk Varsity Coat. The is crafted from fourply crepe silk and features: a Neapolitan roped and pleated shoulder, a cashmere ribbed knit trim sewn above the suede under collar, a leather varsity shoulder, welt pockets and buffalo horn buttons. The Varsity Coat epitomizes sporty chic.
