Extraordinary large-scale vintage needlepoint wall hanging depicting elegant women in 1920s Art Deco flapper style. This monumental textile artwork was found at an estate sale + is one of two companion pieces from the same collection.
Likely created in the 1980s, design is inspired by 1920s fashion illustration + Deco aesthetics—cloche hats, fur stoles, pearls + stylized portraits rendered in rich, detailed needlepoint. The scale + intricacy suggest countless hours of skilled handwork.
