A Roseanne afghan made in 1947 for my mother from her soon-to-be mother-in-law. Stunning colors, all the primary and secondary colors with black surrounding each square. A generous size - 67" X 64". My mother assumed it was made out of wool as that was basically used back in the 40s, but doesn't have the pickiness of wool so I'm not sure. It is a beautiful Afghan! True vintage!
In great shape because my mother kept it folded up on the top of a closet as it was a wedding treasure. We had seven children and there wasn't a blanket or a quilt that wasn't made into a fort at some point. This one was spared!
