[Fully functional, with sample photos] Jupiter-12 35mmF2.8 Waltz hood fixed

This is a Russian lens, Jupiter-12 35mm F2.8.

A Waltz lens hood is attached to the front of the lens from the time of purchase, and the hood cannot be removed. You can change the aperture by turning the hood.

As an accessory, it comes with a rear cap with the same brand logo as the lens manufacturer. Deep L39 lens rear caps that fit the Jupiter-3 are hard to find, so it may be valuable.

The lens mount is α-E, but it is actually an L39 screw mount. An L-M adapter ring is required to mount it on an M mount.

Due to the large rear lens element, some cameras may not be able to mount it due to interference with the rear element. Please check the compatibility yourself.

[Appearance]

[Lens Condition]
The lens is clear and there is no clouding.
The lens has slight surface scratches, dust, and dirt inside.
Photo 2: Two noticeable black spots when held up to the light; it is unclear whether they are dust or mold.
Photo 3: Paint peeling on the rear lens element.
Photo 4: Oil on the aperture blades.

Based on the shooting results with α7sii:
Photo 5: Infinity focus, the periphery is distorted at the maximum aperture.
Photo 6: The distortion in the periphery improves when the aperture is set to around 5.6-8.
Photo 7: At infinity focus and maximum aperture, the light falloff in the periphery is slight, but it is unclear whether it is due to the hood or the characteristics of the lens itself.

Although the lens condition does not seem to affect the images, it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to lens condition. Also, please understand that this is an old lens and the image quality has some quirks before purchasing.
