Beautiful early (pre-1955) vintage starburst design brooch pin from the Albert Weiss & Co. jewelry company.
This Atomic Era starburst brooch pin is large and in charge from is oversized center brilliant pear cut rhinestone to is massive size at 3 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Prong set in rhodium plated silver tone metal, the different rays of the brooch showcase round, pear and baguette cuts.
As shown in photographs, this piece has a lot of darkened stones, but it is still an amazing pin! You may choose to restore it, or wear it as is! The locking clasp is in perfect working order.
Albert Weiss Co. was founded in New York around 1942 and was known for producing high-quality costume jewelry with brilliant rhinestones, particularly during the 1950s & 1960s. The company closed in 1971. The company's pieces were sometimes signed with "Weiss" in block capitals or script, or "A.W. Co.". The copyright symbol (©) was added to the signature after 1955.
