The Comfort Company Double Foot Support attaches quickly and easily to most standard wheelchairs thanks to the variety of mounting hardware options; once attached, the support provides a platform for the feet to rest comfortably on to help reduce everything from foot drop to edema to pressure ulcers. The medium density foam conforms comfortably to the contours of the foot and reduces pressure on bonier areas, while the multi-dimensional stretch fabric covering reduces shear and resists skidding for optimal traction. A variety of sizes and styles are available to meet the needs of most any user, including models with gel pack inserts for added cushion and models with plantar/dorsal wedges to help prevent orthopedic contractures and deformities. A leg separator is available to keep both legs stabilized, and a tall style is available to accommodate those with longer legs.
Comfort-Tek Fabric
The fluid resistant exterior has supple leathery properties that provide an easily cleaned surface and protection for the inner cushion. Comfort-Tek has multi-dimensional stretch and helps alleviate pressure on bony prominences.
