A beautifully embossed Alta Edition of The Old Curiosity Shop and Reprinted Pieces by Charles Dickens, published by Porter & Coates of Philadelphia. The book includes a frontispiece illustration of Little Nell and features richly detailed Victorian floral cover design. This handsome 19th-century edition was gifted in 1891, as noted on the inscription page, and represents one of Dickens’ most beloved works, combining pathos, humor, and vivid character sketches of 19th-century London.

• Spine: marks and wear at ends
• Pages: age marks, folded corners and small tears. Taped on inside
