Stupendous modernist Mid Century Modern vintage 1950s tie clip that can be used as a money clip or act as a brooch. It features a stunning modernist triangle fold over design by Sigi Pineda. Stamped "Sigi TASCO" with an eagle mark and some other marks. Pineda was born in 1929 and grew up in Taxco, Mexico. In 1952, at the age of 23, he opened his own shop with a focus on modern design versus traditional Aztec or Mayan motifs. Pineda remained a strong influence in Mexican jewelry design until his death in 2018. RIP. The tie clip is weighty and demands attention. It has deep, gorgeous patina. Price is now FIRM, TY.
