1910 Oberammergau Passion Play 49/50 Antique Postcard Set w/ Box Divided Back

Vintage boxed postcard set from The Passion Play at Oberammergau 1910 in Bavaria, Germany.
Set includes 49 of the 50 original chromolithographed postcards – #43 is the only missing card. Scenes show Oberammergau views, key moments from the life of Christ, and portraits of apostles, prophets, and other Passion Play characters. All cards are divided-back, unused postcards with descriptive captions and numbers on the front. Backs have the early 20th century postage panel showing domestic one-cent / foreign two-cent postcard rates. Original mailer-style box is present and legible but fragile with tears, splits, old tape, and edge wear. Excellent piece of Oberammergau Passion Play, religious collectible, and postcard ephemera.

Outer box has substantial wear and is in two pieces. Postcards have some wear primarily in the form of corner dings and edge wear. No rips or tears to postcards noted. All are unposted. See pictures for further details on condition.
